Winter 2015 – Weeks 5 and 6

I decided to combine both weeks because I’m a shitty baby who opted to play video games instead of doing week 5. To be fair, though, I put a lot of work into the Toradora! post last week. So, yeah. Um, I don’t know why you wouldn’t have seen that. But I guess if you’re reading this in the future when all that stuff has been buried by other cool stuff…then did you know I wrote a lot of shit on Toradora!?

Anyhoo, this week’s rankings will be odd since I’m factoring in my enjoyment of both episodes. So if one episode was so good that it carried a bad episode, the show will rank higher. In other words, the rankings aren’t reflective of how much I enjoyed Week 6.

Winter 2015 – Week 4

This is a good season. Things seem to be improving, and I’m hoping things don’t go to shit as we make our way past the halfway point in the coming weeks.

Assasination Classroom is back this week, and it looks like they just extended the broadcast so you’ll be getting my thoughts on episodes 3 and 4 individually.

As usual, I’m discussing these in order from most enjoyable to least enjoyable…and in case it wasn’t clear before, not indicative of my feelings of the episode’s quality. This will be…pretty evident this week.

Winter 2015 – Week 2

So the second week was pretty good! I have some bad news, though. I’m gonna drop Yurikuma Arashi from my coverage. Of course I’m keep watching it, but I don’t know what to say about it. Ikuhara’s works demand more care than most, and I feel like I’m adding nothing new to the conversation. My coverage each week would be “There were some symbols…lesbians…uh, yeah…it’s still a good show!”

As much as I want to engage with Yurikuma I just don’t have the time to talk about it at a level that meets my standards. Maybe I’ll return to it one day, but until then I’ll keep to ranting about stupid harem shows.

Winter 2015 – Week 1

So, I decided to try out a week-in-review thing. I regretted not doing one last season since so many good shows aired, so it seems worth a shot to try it out at the start of a new year. I’m talking about these shows in order from most enjoyable to least enjoyable.

These are the shows that I will likely stick with throughout the season (or at least the first couple of episodes). A notable omission is Yatterman. Because FUNimation is releasing their subs late, I’ll be going over episodes 1 and 2 next week.

This is best read after your viewing of the show. No synopses will be given, and some spoilers are possible.
